About This Ministry

We are part of a world-wide lay apostolate, begun in Ireland, and brought to the Lincoln Diocese in the 1950’s. We meet weekly with our Spiritual Director, to pray, study the Legion Handbook, and receive a work assignment for the coming week. Our works are spiritual in nature and include: home visits in the parish to newcomers, shut-ins, and fallen-away Catholics, door-to-door census, assisting nursing home residents to Mass weekly at Tabitha, counseling and praying at Planned Parenthood, leading the Rosary at the Correctional Center before weekly Mass, teaching CCD, maintaining a literature rack in church, and promoting all things Catholic, especially the Rosary, the Miraculous Medal, enthronement of the Sacred Heart, and our traveling Fatima statue. We are assisted in our work by our many Auxiliary members, who pray the daily Rosary and Legion prayers for the intentions of our Blessed Mother.

Meetings/Schedule

  • Members meet every Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Rectory Marian Room.
