Charity & Stewardship Appeal 2021

May 1-2 and May 8-9: Early Bird Sundays: fill out your pledge card in the courtyard after Masses
May 9th: Volunteers are needed to make personal visits to those whose pledges have not yet been made. It is a low-pressure opportunity to participate in this important event. May 9th is Mother’s Day, so Volunteers should only pick up cards this day—they should not make home visits that day but rather use the next two weeks to complete their visits. Use the Sign Up Genius HERE.

Queen of the May

Let us keep the treasured tradition of honoring Our Lady, the Mother of God, during the month of May with special devotion. Ideas: have the children in your home help set up a “May Altar” of devotion to the Blessed Mother, adorned with flowers, candles, and   pictures of Our Lady. Make time for a family rosary, especially with children who have just received sacraments of Initiation. Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, pray for us!

St. Joseph the Worker | May 1

In 1955, Pope Pius XII instituted this feast in honor of the dignity of workers; St. Joseph is the epitome of human labor.

These resources are available at the exits of the church:

  • Using a Guide-pamphlet, make a St. Joseph Pilgrimage to honor our beloved saint and his life’s work.
  • St. Joseph Holy Cards: these were created for our parish and feature a unique painting which was commissioned by the Marian Sisters in 2015.
  • Nine Days with Saint Joseph

by Magnificat

“During the Year of St. Joseph, we can use this book frequently to meditate on nine of St. Joseph’s attributes, call on him to help us incorporate those       attributes into our own lives, and ask him to answer our prayers for personal intentions. Each day of prayer helps us focus on one of St. Joseph’s outstanding qualities.”

Three Hours of Eucharistic Exposition need to be covered until May 23rd:

  • Tuesdays from 1-2pm
  • Tuesdays from 2-3pm
  • Wednesdays from 7-8pm

Congratulations to the 45 children who received their first Holy Communion on April 24th!
