The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is Thurs, Aug 15th. It is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses are Wed, Aug 14th, 5:30pm and Thurs, Aug 15th at 6:30am, 8:15am, & 6:30pm. Pitch Club is Back!

St. Teresa’s Will once again host a card club this year featuring 10-point pitch. Find a partner & sign up before the Aug 25th deadline. This is a fun way to meet new friends & rekindle old ones! We will meet monthly in Sept, Oct, Nov, Jan, Feb, Mar, & Apr. If you have conflicts, we can work with you to find subs or to reschedule your games for any particular month with others with similar conflicts. Don’t want to commit monthly? Sign up to be a sub. Missionary Appeal

Thank you for the generous hospitality and support given to Fr. Joel Ricafranca from the Congregation of Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus who shared with us about the needs of the missions. We have collected $2,755 in donations to assist in the needs of his diocese. It is not too late to donate! Any amount, large or small, can make a significant difference. Please remember him and his diocese/religious order in your prayers.

 Jayhawk Jumpstart

All school families are welcome to join us at Jayhawk Jumpstart on Tues, Aug 13th, 5:30-7pm. Meet you teachers from 5;30-7pm while you drop off your school supplies. The classrooms will be open! Spend a little time outside enjoying hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, and water provided by the Knights of Columbus.

School Pictures

All St. Teresa Students and Staff are encouraged to get your school pictures taken on Tues, Aug 13th from 5-7pm in Kaczmarek Hall. Don’t forget to stop at the school for Jayhawk Jumpstart! Picture retakes will be held on September 13th.

First Day of School

The first day of school is Fri, Aug 16th, with a Noon dismissal.

School Breakfast/Lunch

There will be no lunch provided on the first day of school, Fri, Aug 16th. Frosted Friday Breakfast will be served. See the bulletin for next week’s lunch menu.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Registration for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for children ages 3-12 will begin Aug 3rd on the parish website under Faithful Teaching. Children at St. Teresa School, PreK-2nd grade will attend during the school day. Sessions meet weekly during the school year. Children from all parishes are welcome.

 

Weed-Pulling Volunteers

Our parish is in need of individuals to help pull weeds to keep our grounds looking beautiful. We have broken up the grounds into smaller sections to enable more people to participate. St. Veronica Ministry

If you are experiencing or have experienced a miscarriage, we want to offer you our support, prayers, & love as a parish family. Altar Society Prayer Line

An Altar Society Prayer Line has been established to lift up our prayers to God as a parish community. Leva Orationes Deo is Latin for lift up prayers to God.  Requests can be made by e-mailing  levaorationesdeo@yahoo.com or by calling (the first caller on the list) Mary Pat McBride at 402-314-1296. The Feast of St. Monica is Aug 27th. Registration for Emmaus Institute Fall Courses is now open, including a free course, Encountering the Heart of God in the Psalms, taught by Dr. Vern Steiner (Thursdays). Emmaus Vice President of Academics, Dr. John Kincaid, a recognized expert on St. Paul, will offer The Apostle: An Introduction to Paul’s Theology (Wednesdays, online only). The Way Retreat
