Holy Day of Obligation

Thursday, December 8th is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and is a holy day of obligation. All Catholics are bound to attend Mass on Holy Days of Obligation. Mass times are as follows: Wed, Dec 7th at 5:30pm, Thurs, Dec 8th at 6:30am, 8:15am & 6:30pm. Mass will be celebrated privately for the Pink Sisters and the chapel will open at 8am on the Holy Day.

RCIA: The Last Things

Knights of Columbus

The Knights will be passing out candy after Mass on Dec 17th & 18th in honor of Candy Cane Sunday. All donations received will go towards purchasing items on our parish Giving Tree.

Planned Parenthood Rosary & Mass

Every Monday (Change of Day) 9:30—10:30am at 5632 S. 48th Street, Lincoln. Pray for an end to abortion with fellow Catholics every Monday. Rosary: 9:30am outside Planned Parenthood. Mass: 10am at the Right to Life Center

Advent Giving Wreaths

Eucharistic Adoration

Spend time with our Eucharistic Lord this Advent. Our new session of adoration will run from Nov 27th-Dec 23rd. What a great way to deepen your Advent Season! Men’s Advent Study

Free Organ

The Pink Sisters have an organ they no longer need and are hoping to find a new home for it. Dan Wesolowski is willing to help move it. If you are interested, please call the parish office at 402-477-3979. The organ is free.

An Altar Society Prayer Line has been established to lift up our prayers to God as a parish community. I Am Love Healing Service

I Am Love Healing Service will be held at North American Martyrs Church on Dec 9th from 6-9pm. All who desire to receive prayer or to pray for physical healing are welcome! This event is organized and led by priests form the Diocese of Lincoln and the Archdiocese of Omaha and supported by the Lincoln Equipping Team for Prayer and Healing.

Emmaus Institute

The Emmaus Institute for Biblical Studies is now accepting registrations for a 5-week course, Opening the Word: Catholics and the Bible. The course will meet in person on Monday evenings, 6:30-8:30 pm beginning Jan 9th and will also be available by video (posted the following day with class notes). Opening the Word is designed to familiarize students with the  Bible generally, preparing them to read, study, pray, love and live the Sacred Scriptures. It is the first of two interterm courses built into our Creation to New Creation program, but everyone is welcome to register for this beneficial course. Mass of the Holy Innocents

The annual mass of the Holy Innocents will be celebrated on Wed Dec 28th at John XXIII diocesan Center Chapel, 3700 Sheridan Blvd. All are invited especially those who have suffered the loss of a baby. All names will be permanently placed on the Banner. Due to time constraints, only names submitted since 2014 will be read aloud. New names may be submitted by calling the Family Life Office, 402-473-0620 before 5pm on Dec 20th or in the vestibule prior to the reading of the names, which will begin at 6:45pm followed by Mass.

Heaven Kisses Earth” Advent Retreat

If you are newly post college, a young professional, or a young parent looking for an opportunity to come away from the noise of life and experience the Lord’s love in a deeper way, the Frassati group is inviting you to join them for their Advent Retreat: “Heaven Kisses Earth”. Schoenstatt Advent Family Day!

All are welcome to attend the Schoenstatt Advent Family Day will be held on Sat, Dec 3rd from 9am-Noon at the Cor Mariae Center (340 State Highway 103, Crete, NE). Child-Friendly Advent Holy Hour

Let the little children come: even the noisy ones! Join us for a family-friendly holy hour at John XXIII Diocesan Center (3700 Sheridan Blvd) from 3:30-4:30 pm on Sun, Dec 11th. Confessions will be available, a short reflection on Advent for the families, some music, some silence(ish), and hot cocoa to follow! No registration required.

Mass & Prayers for Healing will be held on Dec 4th at John XXIII Diocesan Center. Confession: 1:15, Divine Mercy Chaplet: 1:30, Praise & Worship, 1:40, Blessing of salt water/religious articles, 2:00 with Mass immediately following. Anointing of the sick after the homily with Eucharistic Exposition & Healing to follow.

 

World Youth Day 2023

Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreats The schedule of retreats for Fall 2022 has been released and is available on the Retreat center’s website HERE. Remember that for St. Teresa parishioners, Men’s Club or Altar Society will pay for half of a standard retreat per year!
