Free Throw Competition

St. Teresa Fitzgerald Council 833 had the annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition on Wed, Jan 24th with 28 participants. Event organizer, Brad Behne, and Grand Knight, Ron Schinkel, observed that having the event immediately after school allowed for a large turnout of participants, teachers, students, & parents to attend. The event was a success thanks to the generous volunteers of these Knights: Clarence Waldman, Mike Szatko, John Lenich, Dan Metzler, Trenton Behne, Milt Bayer, Rich Wahl, Dan Wesolowski, Ralph Hammack, Barry Butler, Troy Cisneros, Jeff Knievel, & Todd Minchow.

St. Teresa School Kindergarten Parent Information Meeting

Please consider a Catholic Education for your child. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to learn about our Faith within an educational setting. Please come & inquire about our Kindergarten program and/or register your child on Tues, Feb 13th, 7pm at St. Teresa School (616 S 36th St, Lincoln). Contact the school office at 402-477-3358 if you plan to attend so we can have a packet ready for you. If registering your child, please bring your child’s original birth certificate with the raised seal, baptismal certificate with raised seal, and immunization history.

Mass Intentions Donations Now Available Through Online Giving

It is now available to make a donation for a Mass Intention through our Online Giving.  Scan the QR Code and select the “Mass Intention” Fund. Please choose the “one-time payment” option only. Then please email [email protected] and let her know you’d like to schedule a Mass. Please indicate if the person is living or deceased and  specify if you have any preferred dates of Mass Times. Also let her know if you made a donation online.

Pink Sisters’ Vocation Holy Hour

All are welcome to join the Pink sisters as they pray for vocations at their Holy Hour on Fri, Feb 2nd at 7:15pm a the Pink Sisters’ Chapel, 1040 S Cotner Blvd. The singing will be led by the Catholic Singers’ Guild.

 

Fat Friday Party

All men of the parish are invited to a free, casual night of good food, “non-competitive” games, perhaps some surprises, some adult beverages, & great fellowship, on Feb 9th from 6-10pm in the school gym. This annual event we call Fat Friday is a celebration prior to Lent to meet new friends, add names to unknown faces, & reward the volunteers who get things done for our parish. New parishioners are especially welcome. Mark your calendars and set your alarm!

Volunteers to Remove Decorations

The Men’s Club will be taking down the Christmas trees and other decorations on Sun, Feb 4th at 1pm. All are welcome & needed to lend a hand!

Men’s Club Meeting Date Change

Because Ash Wednesday falls on the 2nd Wed of the month in February, the Men’s Club will instead meet on Wed, Feb 7th beginning with a Rosary at 7:30pm in the Church and the meeting at 8pm in the Rectory Marian Room.

 

Scout Sunday Pancake Breakfast

Join the Scouts for their delicious breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee & juice, on Sun, Feb 4th from 9-11:30am in Kaczmarek Hall. Free will donation. Proceeds will help Troop 28 purchase a new scout trailer.

Attention all diocesan, parish & school groups: are you looking for an interesting & uplifting activity for your group in 2024? Consider learning more about the Pink Sisters! The Sisters invite you to come to their community meeting room to hear a short 30-45 min presentation on the order followed by a visit in their beautiful chapel. If more convenient, the presentation will come to you. The presentation can be geared toward different ages, and the length of time can be adjusted to fit any group’s needs. This is the 50th anniversary year of the Pink Sisters’ community to Lincoln, and is a great year to spread the word about this wonderful gem, located in the center of Lincoln. Altar Society Prayer Line

An Altar Society Prayer Line has been established to lift up our prayers to God as a parish community. Leva Orationes Deo is Latin for lift up prayers to God.  Requests can be made by e-mailing  [email protected] or by calling (the first caller on the list) Mary Pat McBride at 402-314-1296. Mother/Daughter Program: Fearfully & Wonderfully Made

Surviving Divorce: Men & Women

The Surviving Divorce program was created to bring hope & healing to divorced & separated Catholics. This 12-week program will be leader-facilitated, featuring 30-min video segments that cover topics of shock, denial, anger, grief, guilt, forgiveness, money, kids, annulment, and more. Catholic Artist Guild Schedule

All Catholic Artist Guild meetings are held in Resurrection Hall, St. Joseph Parish, Lincoln, from 9am-Noon. All meetings include prayer & fellowship. All are welcome to come and check us out!
