Marriage on Mission Date Night

Marriage on Mission invites all married or engaged couples to a date night event on Sun, Jan 21, 7-8:30pm. Fr. Kipper will speak about the domestic church followed by refreshments & fellowship. S.T.A.G.E. Productions

S.T.A.G.E. will be presenting 2 musical productions: Jonah & the Big Sale (ages 8-11) and The Merchant of Tennis (ages 9-16), in Kaczmarek Hall. Jonah & the Big Sale, based on the classic Bible story, is set in modern times with Ninevay’s Department store & a Whale of a Sale! Performances: Jan 19-20 at 6pm & Jan 21 at 2pm. Tickets $7. The Merchant of Tennis, a musical parody of Shakespeare’s famous work, The Merchant of Venice, follows a tennis theme throughout, teaching the lesson of Love. Performances: Jan 19-20 at 8pm; Jan 21 at 4pm; Jan 26-27 at 7pm; Jan 28 at 2pm (a 2-hour show with intermission). Tickets: $8/$10. Both performances offer reserved seating. RCIA: The Sacraments: Eucharist

All are welcome to join in the RCIA class on Mon, Jan 8th from 7-8:30pm in Kaczmarek Hall. Our topic will be “The Sacraments: Eucharist” taught by Peter and Jean Timmerman.

 

Youth Altar Society

All girls of the parish, grades 5-7, are encouraged to join the Youth Altar Society. Monthly meetings begin Jan. 10th from 3:20-4:30pm. Free Throw Contest

The St. Teresa’s Knights of Columbus Council 833 will be hosting its annual Free Throw Contest for boys & girls ages 9-14 at St. Teresa’s Gym on Fri, Jan. 19th, 4pm. Check-in begins immediately after school at 3:15pm. In addition, if you have a conflict that day, we can get you to shoot first if you need to leave by a certain time. Awards will be given for 1st & 2nd place. Everyone will receive a participation certificate as well. St. Teresa Trivia Night

St. Teresa Trivia Night will be on Sat, Jan 13th at Pius X High School Commons. Come at 6pm for social hour and to set up your table. Trivia begins at 7pm.  To register your team or as an individual, click HERE or scan the QR Code. If registering a team, only the team captain should register & pay the full amount for all players. It is up to the captain to be reimbursed by your team members. If you do not have a full table, please register as individuals & you will be assigned to a table, with an option to state who you’d like to sit with. Altar Society Prayer Line

An Altar Society Prayer Line has been established to lift up our prayers to God as a parish community. Leva Orationes Deo is Latin for lift up prayers to God.  Requests can be made by e-mailing  levaorationesdeo@yahoo.com or by calling (the first caller on the list) Mary Pat McBride at 402-314-1296. Cristo Rey Nativity

A 28’-wide nativity scene is can be viewed at Cristo Rey Parish (4245 J St), 9am-9pm daily through Jan 7 (except Wednesdays). The elaborately constructed nativity scene takes a week to construct by builders & volunteers & depicts, not only Bethlehem, but also the scenes from Nazareth, Egypt, & the Jerusalem Temple. The nativity scene has been hosted at Cristo Rey since 2004. Donations: Vincent de Paul Society in Lincoln.

Love and Life Programs: Program I: I+You=We

Marian Camp 2024

Catholic Artist Guild Schedule

All Catholic Artist Guild meetings are held in Resurrection Hall, St. Joseph Parish, Lincoln, from 9am-Noon. All meetings include prayer & fellowship. All are welcome to come and check us out! The Emmaus Institute for Biblical Studies is accepting registrations for a five-week course, Hearing the Word: Understanding the Bible, offered in person on Monday or Tuesday evenings, 6:30-8:30pm beginning Jan 8th, and available online (typically posted the following day with class notes).
