Marriage on Mission Date Night

Marriage on Mission invites all married or engaged couples to a date night event on Sun, Jan 21, 7-8:30pm. Fr. Kipper will speak about the domestic church followed by refreshments & fellowship. S.T.A.G.E. Productions

S.T.A.G.E. will be presenting 2 musical productions: Jonah & the Big Sale (ages 8-11) and The Merchant of Tennis (ages 9-16), in Kaczmarek Hall. Jonah & the Big Sale, based on the classic Bible story, is set in modern times with Ninevay’s Department store & a Whale of a Sale! Performances: Jan 19-20 at 6pm & Jan 21 at 2pm. Tickets $7. The Merchant of Tennis, a musical parody of Shakespeare’s famous work, The Merchant of Venice, follows a tennis theme throughout, teaching the lesson of Love. Performances: Jan 19-20 at 8pm; Jan 21 at 4pm; Jan 26-27 at 7pm; Jan 28 at 2pm (a 2-hour show with intermission). Tickets: $8/$10. Both performances offer reserved seating. Holy Hour for Vocations

All are welcome to join the Pink Sisters at a Holy Hour for Vocations on Fri, Jan. 5th at 7:15pm at the Pink Sister’s Chapel, 1040 S. Cotner Blvd. The singing will be led by the Anima Christi Singers.

RCIA: The Sacraments: Eucharist

All are welcome to join in the RCIA class on Mon, Jan 8th from 7-8:30pm in Kaczmarek Hall. Our topic will be “The Sacraments: Eucharist” taught by Peter and Jean Timmerman.


Youth Altar Society

All girls of the parish, grades 5-7, are encouraged to join the Youth Altar Society. Monthly meetings begin Jan. 10th from 3:20-4:30pm. Free Throw Contest

The St. Teresa’s Knights of Columbus Council 833 will be hosting its annual Free Throw Contest for boys & girls ages 9-14 at St. Teresa’s Gym on Fri, Jan. 19th, 4pm. Check-in begins immediately after school at 3:15pm. In addition, if you have a conflict that day, we can get you to shoot first if you need to leave by a certain time. Awards will be given for 1st & 2nd place. Everyone will receive a participation certificate as well. St. Teresa Trivia Night

St. Teresa Trivia Night will be on Sat, Jan 13th at Pius X High School Commons. Come at 6pm for social hour and to set up your table. Trivia begins at 7pm.  To register your team or as an individual, click HERE or scan the QR Code. If registering a team, only the team captain should register & pay the full amount for all players. It is up to the captain to be reimbursed by your team members. If you do not have a full table, please register as individuals & you will be assigned to a table, with an option to state who you’d like to sit with. Individual registrations must pay unless you are a first-time player.  Registration deadline: January 5th. Tables will be assigned in registration submission order. Altar Society Prayer Line

An Altar Society Prayer Line has been established to lift up our prayers to God as a parish community. Leva Orationes Deo is Latin for lift up prayers to God.  Requests can be made by e-mailing  levaorationesdeo@yahoo.com or by calling (the first caller on the list) Mary Pat McBride at 402-314-1296. Cristo Rey Nativity

A 28’-wide nativity scene is can be viewed at Cristo Rey Parish (4245 J St), 9am-9pm daily through Jan 7 (except Wednesdays). The elaborately constructed nativity scene takes a week to construct by builders & volunteers & depicts, not only Bethlehem, but also the scenes from Nazareth, Egypt, & the Jerusalem Temple. The nativity scene has been hosted at Cristo Rey since 2004. Donations: Vincent de Paul Society in Lincoln.

Love and Life Programs: Program I: I+You=We

Inspire your marriage with the Love and Life Program: I+You=We on Jan 20th from 7:30am-9pm & Jan 21 from 8am-4pm at Bishop Neumann High School, Wahoo. Weekend includes lectures, workshops, individual couple dialogue leading you through 6 simple steps to real joy in your marriage. Cost: $250/couple; $300 after Jan 5th. Nebraska Walk for Life

Join the Nebraska Walk for Life Gala on Fri. Jan 26th, 6pm at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel with Melissa Ohden, speaker. Eucharistic Revival Holy Hours

All are invited to join the Christ the King Sisters at Villa Regina Motherhouse, 4100 SW 56th St, for Eucharistic Revival Holy Hours. Join the sisters in adoring Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist, on the following dates: Jan 7, Feb 4, Apr 7, and May 12. All holy hours begin at Noon except Divine Mercy Sunday, April 7th which will begin at 3pm.


Marian Camp 2024

Camper & Counselor registrations open Jan 20th. Camp sessions: June 23-26 and June 28-July 1. Cost: $200 for 1st camper; $150 for 2nd camper. Camp is for girls entering 6th-9th grades. Camp located at Camp Kateri Tekakwitha, McCool Junction. Financial Aid available Dec 11-Jan 8. Catholic Artist Guild Schedule

All Catholic Artist Guild meetings are held in Resurrection Hall, St. Joseph Parish, Lincoln, from 9am-Noon. All meetings include prayer & fellowship. All are welcome to come and check us out! The schedule is as follows: Jan 13th: Business Topics: Come visit various stations to learn about aspects of business when selling your art or skill. April 13th: Artist Show & Tell: Come, bring your art, & share it with other artists in the guild, while learning about their skills & trades. July 20th: Art Techniques: Come visit stations & learn from other artists about their specific techniques in a variety of media.

Emmaus Institute Series

The Emmaus Institute for Biblical Studies is accepting registrations for a five-week course, Hearing the Word: Understanding the Bible, offered in person on Monday or Tuesday evenings, 6:30-8:30pm beginning Jan 8th, and available online (typically posted the following day with class notes). Pius X Passport to Adventure Club

Pius X Passport to Adventure Club is organizing a WWII Experience of Europe June 3-17th. We will be in Normandy during the 80th Anniversary of D-Day!
