Knights of Columbus 2022 Christmas Party

The Fitzgerald Council Knights of Columbus invited you and a guest to our 2022 Christmas Party on Sat, Dec 10th at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 6044 South Street. Social hour begins at 6:00pm. Bishop’s Annual Appeal for Vocations

St. Teresa Parish’s goal for this year is $25,060. As of Nov 14th, we have  pledged $21,631. Balance needed: $3,429. Last day for pledges to be counted towards our goal is Nov 28th. An Altar Society Prayer Line has been established to lift up our prayers to God as a parish community. Trout in the Classroom

Mrs. Stewart, Jr. High Science Teacher at St. Joseph, Lincoln, will be providing an exciting learning opportunity for her classes where students will learn about the complete life cycle of trout from eggs to fingerlings to release into a stream. A partial grant is covering the project’s supplies, but St. Joseph’s is in need of a 40-50 gallon aquarium for use from January-May. Mass & Prayers for Healing will be held on Dec 4th at John XXIII Diocesan Center. Confession: 1:15, Divine Mercy Chaplet: 1:30, Praise & Worship, 1:40, Blessing of salt water/religious articles, 2:00 with Mass immediately following. Anointing of the sick after the homily with Eucharistic Exposition & Healing to follow.

Join Sandy Danek, founder of Healing Hearts Grief Ministry, on Dec 1, 7pm at the Harbor Coffeehouse, Piedmont Shoppes. Sandy will explore “Grief & the Holidays from a Catholic perspective. Open to anyone who has experienced a loss of a loved one, is suffering from infertility or miscarriage, or for those who want to know how to better support a loved one experiencing grief. Eucharistic Revival Choral Production

Singers from around the diocese, directed by Amy Flamminio and joined with a string quartet, a brass quintet, and the Cathedral organ, will be performing Give Glory to God at the Cathedral on Nov 20, 7:30pm. The concert will be performed in conjunctions with the Diocesan Eucharistic Revival and in celebration of Bishop Conley’s 10th anniversary as Bishop of Lincoln. Some of the music to be performed will be: Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi, Cry Out With Joy by Kevin Hanrahan, Ave Verum Corpus by William Byrd, and Gloucester Service: Magnificat by Herbert Howells. Come and enjoy this beautiful music, participate in our diocese’s Eucharistic Revival, and help celebrate our Bishop’s tenth Anniversary!

 

World Youth Day 2023
