St. Teresa Silent Auction

The Silent Auction is a large part of our annual Parish Bazaar and we need your help to make it a success! All the proceeds go back into the parish & school for various projects & needs. Encounter Night

Come join our parish family in adoring our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament in a community holy hour on November 3rd from 7-8pm. Enjoy adoration, praise & worship music, confessions, and time for silent prayer. May we join together to renew our love of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist and pray that all hearts may come to know and love Him!

 

24-Hour Adoration

Our parish will enjoy a special 24-hour Adoration from Friday, November 3rd at 9am to Saturday, November 4th at 8:15am. Please consider signing up for an hour of adoration. We especially need coverage throughout the night so Jesus is not left alone in the monstrance. Click HERE to sign up for an hour.

 

Grand Group

We have a 2-part event in October: Part II: Tues, Oct 31st, we will meet at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1pm to assemble our material & deliver them to CSS. There will be snacks! We need everyone to help in order to make this a success!

Grounds Clean Up Day

Men’s Club requests men, young & young-at-heart to work on Sat, Nov 4th, 9-Noon, at our annual Fall Grounds Cleanup. Cub scouts will work on leaves while others work in gardens. No prior experience is needed!

Lector and Acolyte Surveys

Please make every effort to complete your survey & return it by Oct 22nd to the parish office (via the video slot, in the collection basket, or in person), mail it to the parish office, or  mail it to your coordinator (address on your survey).

Bishop’s Appeal for Vocations

St. Teresa Parish’s goal for this year is $23,430. We currently have pledged $8,805. Please give generously to support our diocesan seminarians, especially our own, Deacon Brox and Paul Mach! Pledge cards were mailed last week.

All are welcome to celebrate the 25th Jubilee of Sr. Sylvia Onyido’s, Daughters of the Sacred Passion on Sun, Oct 22nd with her renewal of vows at the Noon Mass followed by a potluck Dinner and Jubilee Celebration from 1-4pm in Kaczmarek Hall. Please bring a main dish and a side dish. Dessert will be provided.

Christmas Boutique

Come and shop for Christmas decorations at the St. Teresa Thrift Shop’s Christmas Boutique at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Thurs., Oct 26th from 4-8pm, Fri, Oct 27th from 10am-5pm, & Sat, Oct 28th from 9am-Noon with 1/2 off on Sat. Altar Society Diaper Drive

The Altar Society, along with the LDCCW, is sponsoring a diaper drive during October. There will be a collection box in the vestibule this weekend. Please drop off your diaper donations in these boxes.

 

STAGE

Auditions for the S.T.A.G.E. Winter Musical, The Merchant of Tennis, will take place Oct 28-29. A parody of Saintspear’s famous Merchant of Venice, this musical will teach the lesson of Love of Neighbor, incorporating a tennis-theme throughout Venice. What could be better than tennis in Venice?  For ages 9 & up.

Weed Pulling Volunteers

 Magnificat Fall Prayer Meal

The Magnificat Fall Prayer Meal will be on Sat, Nov 4th, 9:30am, at Hillcrest Country Club, 9401 East O St, with guest speaker Fr. Brian Kane, Rector of St. Gregory the Great Seminary. Fr. Kane was raised in Silver Spring, MD, & spent Summer vacations on his grandparents farm in Nebraska. He attended UNL & began to attend daily Mass. Fr. Kane became more in love with Our Lord present in His Most Blessed Sacrament & discerned the Priesthood & ordained in 2000. Hold onto your seats as Fr. Mass for Deceased Alumni of Pius X High School

Thurs, Nov 2, Pius X will host an all-school Mass at 9:20am for the Deceased Alumni of Pius X. Families of the deceased are invited to join us. Pius X Dance Team Kiddie Camp

The Pius X Thunderettes are hosting a fun-filled dance camp for grades PreK-5th! The kids will learn one dance in their age group and one dance as one big group. There will be games and snacks! If you sign up by Dec 20th, your kiddo(s) will receive a t-shirt too! This year’s camp is Jan 6, 2024. Camp begin at 9am & the kiddos will perform their routines for parents at Noon. Marian Morning of Meditation

Please join us on Sat, Nov 4th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in downtown Lincoln for a morning of prayer in honor of our Blessed Mother. We will start with coffee & donuts in the church basement at 8:30am, followed by hymns, Adoration, & First Saturday devotions. Brother Julian from the Knights of the Holy Eucharist will share thoughts on the message of Our Lady of Fatima and its relevance for our time. We will finish the morning with the 12:10pm Mass celebration.

Ride for Life, benefitting the Women’s Care Center will be held Oct 22st, 8am, St. Vincent de Paul, Seward. Registration fee is a monetary gift from parish or sponsor. 8am: Mass; 8:45am: begin decade of Rosary outside (muffin & water available); 9am: Bike Ride (Routes: 55 miles to Bee, Dwight, Ulysses, Seminary, & back to St. Vincent’s) Food & water at Ulysses; 12 miles to Bee & return to St. Vincent’s with snacks & finish). $30: diapers & formula for 1 week, 1 baby; $84: counseling & ultrasound, saving a baby; $250: parenting class & stroller or crib; $1000 support 1 mom & baby every month for 1 year. Pius X Passport to Adventure Club

Pius X Passport to Adventure Club is organizing a WWII Experience of Europe June 3-17th. We will be in Normandy during the 80th Anniversary of D-Day! CSS Volunteer Needed

Catholic Social Services is in need of a volunteer to help with Panera Bread donations. Duties include picking up donated bread from Panera at 61st & O on the 3rd & 4th Thursday of the month. Eucharistic Revival Holy Hours

All are invited to join the Christ the King Sisters at Villa Regina Motherhouse, 4100 SW 56th St, for Eucharistic Revival Holy Hours. Join the sisters in adoring Jesus, truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament on the following dates: Nov 12, Jan 7, Feb 4, Apr 7, and May 12. Catholic Artist Guild

The Catholic Artist Guild welcomes all artists in the Lincoln Diocese to join us every 3rd Monday of the month in the Bride Room at St. Joseph Church, Lincoln. Meetings begin at 8pm.
