Come celebrate our Titular Feast day at our annual Parish Picnic on Sun, Oct 1st from 4-6:30pm. Men’s Club will grill hamburgers & hotdogs. Altar Society will provide drinks (water, lemonade & iced tea). Please bring a side dish and/or dessert and your own place settings. Children may dress up as their favorite Saint for the Saints Parade.

Lector and Acolyte Surveys

The Lector and Acolyte Surveys will be mailed out the week of October 1st. Please make every effort to complete your survey and return it, by October 22nd to the parish office (via video slot, in the collect basket, or in person), mail it to the parish office, or mail it to your coordinator (address on the survey). Your willingness to serve at the altar is admirable and greatly appreciated, and this survey is our only means to honor your preferences.

 

St. Teresa Parish Bazaar

Altar Society Diaper Drive

The Altar Society, along with the LDCCW, is sponsoring a diaper drive during October. There will be a collection box in the vestibule this weekend. Please drop off your diaper donations in these boxes.

Men’s Club Golf Tournament Results

Congratulations to the winning members of this years Men’s Club Golf Tournament: Jeff Dostal, Jacob Dostal, Alex Heideman, & Kade kalkowski. This team shot an impressive –11!

RCIA

It’s not too late to sign up for RCIA. Classes are on Mondays from 7-8:30pm in Kaczmarek Hall. It will continue most Mondays throughout the year, leading up to the Easter Vigil. STAGE One-Day Camps: S.T.A.G.E. Student theatre presents a One-Day Camp on Oct 16th, 10am-2pm for students ages 8-12, focusing on an intro to theater, technique, & a short One Act Performance. Cost $38. A camp for students ages 11-14 will focus on the audition monologue, providing specific skills to enhance any young performers audition method, instilling confidence. Cost $18. Class sizes are limited so register early under Upcoming Events on Stage Website below.

STAGE Auditions: Auditions for the S.T.A.G.E. Winter Musical, The Merchant of Tennis, will take place Oct 28-29. A parody of Saintspear’s famous Merchant of Venice, this musical will teach the lesson of Love of Neighbor, incorporating a tennis-theme throughout Venice. What could be better than tennis in Venice?  For ages 9 & up.

Titular Feast Day Celebration

St. Teresa School will be celebrating our Titular Feast Day on Mon, Oct 2nd at the 8:15am Mass with Bishop James Conley. All Kindergarten-5th girls invited to dress as St. Therese. The school will also have a special dress-up (Sunday clothes) day, Buddy Class tea parties, and other activities throughout the day. A Eucharistic Procession through the school will be held at 2:30pm followed by a 3pm Benediction in the Church.

Eucharistic Miracle Exhibit

St. Teresa Parish will be hosting Spirit Catholic Radio’s Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibit Oct 1-8 in Kaczmarek Hall. The exhibit features 39 beautiful panels that highlight some of the most beautiful Eucharistic Miracles in the world. The panels feature both graphic & written descriptions of the miracles.

Bed Making

Choir Welcomes New Members

As we begin singing for the year, the 10:00 AM Choir is ready to welcome new members. Practices are Thursdays, 7:30-9pm in the choir loft & at 9:30am Sunday mornings. Along with Sunday Masses, the choir also sings at Christmas Midnight Mass, Confirmation, & Triduum Liturgies. All voice parts are welcome, but we are in special need of tenors and basses.

CCD

Woodworkers of the Parish

Would you please consider building a simple stable for our nativity set? At Christmas time, a group of  St. Teresa parishioners give age-appropriate nativity sets to children living at St. Gianna’s (domestic violence shelter) Homes. These sets often don’t include a stable; by adding that, we hope to make the sets a more complete image of Our Lord’s humble birth. St. Veronica Ministry

If you are experiencing or have experienced a miscarriage, we want to offer you our support, prayers, & love as a parish family. Weed Pulling Volunteers

The Emmaus Institute for Biblical Studies is hosting a seminar titled, Just Catholic: St. Paul on Justification and Life in Christ, featuring Dr. James Prothro, a biblical scholar who teaches at the Augustine Insititue in Denver. The seminar focuses on a topic of immense interest to Catholic and Protestant Christians alike. Life Chain

Please join us for our annual silent prayer vigil in support of all human life, born and preborn. Your presence is a visual witness that we are a Pro-Life community, state, and country. St. Teresa’s Parish has been assigned the South side of O street between 33rd and 35th streets. We rejoice the United States Supreme Court made the correct decision to return the Roe decision back to the States where it belongs. But our work has just begun. Lights, Camera, Action: 2023 Video Contest

Create a video that depicts the theme, “What term best identifies you: Anti-Abortion Activist or Pro-Life Advocate?”, with your own voiceover. Vatican II Explained

Join us on Fri, Sept 29th at 6:30pm at John XXIII Diocesan Center for an evening with Bishop Emeritus Fabian W Bruskewitz. He will be presenting on the Secont Vatican Council, which he attended as a seminarian and young priest. The Bishop will speak about the moment, the content of the council and its implementation. Reception will follow.

CK Sisters Outdoor Fall Workday

CK Workday at Villa Regina Motherhouse, 4100 SW 56th St on Sat, Sept 30, 1:30-4:30pm. We will be planting trees, mulching, cleaning vegetable garden, & cutting trees.
