Christmas Tree Removal

Annual Giving Statements

Annual Giving Statements will be available for pick up in the vestibule of the church on Fri, Jan 27th at Noon through Sun evening, Jan 29th and again on Fri, Feb 3rd at Noon through Sun evening, Feb 26th.  Statements may also be picked up at the rectory Monday-Thursday from 9am-4pm.

Lost Items

All dishes, bowls, serving items, etc. that have been left in Kaczmarek Hall and at the Rectory will be in the vestibule of the church beginning Friday, Jan 27th through Sunday, Feb 3rd. Any items left following the Noon Mass on Feb 3rd will be taken to the Thrift Shop.

Women’s Bunco Night

Women’s Bunco Night will be held on Thurs, Feb 9th at 7pm in Kaczmarek Hall. Please join us for this fun Galentine’s event being held to celebrate friendship and support St. Gianna’s Women’s Home. Your $5 entry fee will be split in half to provide prize winnings for our evening and to support the women and children Gianna’s serves. No RSVP or experience necessary. RCIA: Sacraments: Penance & Anointing of the Sick

Pink Sisters’ Holy Hour for Vocations

Please join the Pink Sisters for their holy hour for vocations on Fri, Feb 3, 7:15pm at the Pink Sisters’ Chapel, 1040 S Cotner Blvd. The singing will be led by the Blessed Sacrament Musicians.

S.T.A.G.E. Student Theater

S.T.A.G.E. Catholic Theater is seeking adult performers for their summer production, Flanagan’s Boys. This is a musical rendition of the story of Fr. Edward J. Flanagan, servant of God, and his mission to form Boys Town. We are looking for interested participants who have some experience in musical performance and a love for the faith. Please join us for our school open house following the 10am Mass on Sun, Jan 29th. Visit the gym for the Science Fair, see the classrooms, and stop in the cafeteria for coffee/juice, rolls, baked goods on sale as a fundraiser for the 8th grade class.

In Honor of Catholic Schools Week, please join Bishop Conley for a Holy Hour at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ on Mon, Jan 30th at 7pm to pray for our Catholic Schools. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Informational Meeting for Parents of Upcoming Kindergartens

Please consider a Catholic Education for your child. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to learn about our Faith within an educational setting. St. Teresa Trivia Night

Registrations are being accepted for St. Teresa’s 2023 Trivia Night! See bulletin insert for registration form. Trivia Night will be held at Pius X High School on Sat, Feb 4th. Social hour at 6pm, trivia rounds begin at 7pm. Come early to socialize and decorate your table (optional). Cost: $10/person or $80 for a table (seats 8). New to Trivia Night, registration fee waived. This event is not open to the public; it is for St. Teresa parishioners. Family and friends are welcome to join parishioners’ teams.

 

Altar Society Prayer Line

An Altar Society Prayer Line has been established to lift up our prayers to God as a parish community. Leva Orationes Deo is Latin for lift up prayers to God.  Requests can be made by e-mailing  levaorationesdeo@yahoo.com or by calling (the first caller on the list) Mary Pat McBride at 402-314-1296. Mount Michael Information Night

Emmaus Institute for Biblical Studies

The Emmaus Institute for Biblical Studies is accepting registrations for spring in-person and online classes, including the next class in our three-year certificate program covering the entire Bible: The Historical Books (Mondays 2/20-5/1). This Lent, explore the mystery of suffering with Dr. Vern Steiner in his course When God’s People Suffer: A Biblical Perspective on Pain and Evil (Tuesdays 2/21-5/2). Other courses include Behold the King: Encountering Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew (Thursdays 2/23-5/4); and Introduction to Latin Grammar I: C (Wednesdays 2/22-5/3). In celebration of Roe v Wade, the inaugural Walk for Life Gala, a fundraiser for Nebraska Right to Life, will be held Fri, Jan 27th, the night before the Walk. Baked Goods for Walk for Life

Baked goods, sold to offset the cost of the Walk, will be available to purchase following the Walk for Life at the UNL Student Union. Donations needed and can be dropped off on the north side of the Student Union the morning of the Walk. Volunteers will be curbside from 8-9am to accept donated goods.
