Missionary Appeal

Thank you for the generous hospitality and support given to Fr. Joel Ricafranca from the Congregation of Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus who shared with us about the needs of the missions. Altar Boy Outing

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Registration for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for children ages 3-12 will begin Aug 3rd on the parish website under Faithful Teaching. Children at St. Teresa School, PreK-2nd grade will attend during the school day. Sessions meet weekly during the school year. Children from all parishes are welcome.

Pink Sisters’ Vocation Holy Hour

All are welcome to join the Pink Sisters as they pray for good vocations for our diocese on Fri, Aug 2nd from 7:15-8:30pm. Compline is prayed at the end of the Holy Hour.

Popsicles on the Playground

Please join the St. Teresa School Family Association for Popsicles on the Playground this summer! In addition to frozen treats & playground games, each event will have an opportunity to help you prepare for the school year. Dates:

  • Sunday, August 4, 6:30-7:30pm: School Supply Swap! Printed supply lists will be available. Bring surplus supplies to share and find items that you need from your school supply list.

St. Teresa School will be open on Wednesdays from 9am-Noon. This is a good time to stop in with paperwork, questions, or assistance. The school office will be closed on Wed, July 3rd in observance of the Fourth of July.

St. Teresa’s Youth Ministry will be hosting Ultimate Frisbee Nights at Woods Park on Mondays this summer, from 7-8:30pm. Come for faith, fellowship, and Frisbee. Incoming freshmen and above are welcome!

 

Eucharistic Adoration Opportunities

With busy vacation schedules and kids out of school, we have more open slots for adoration. Please consider signing up for an hour this summer! Students can earn service hours for taking an hour, too! Or, if you have a student who would be willing to be a sub, please reach out to Ron Zimmer, 402-310-9342, and let him know. We need more subs during the summer.

 

Weed-Pulling Volunteers

Our parish is in need of individuals to help pull weeds to keep our grounds looking beautiful. We have broken up the grounds into smaller sections to enable more people to participate. Summer Boys Choir

This Summer Boys Choir Alumnus Seth Winter and Seminarian Peter Foley will be directing a Boys Choir for the young men of St. Teresa’s Parish and surrounding areas. The choir will meet on Fridays from 9-10am and is for young men ages 6-18 years old. We will practice for the first few weeks and then sing a few Sunday masses or sundry occasions later in the summer. Come learn to sing, learn to pray through song and enjoy a good time with good men and good brothers. Practices begin on June 7th but you are welcome to join late. Sign up forms are located on the shelf in the vestibule of the church. Bring it to your first practice.

TV Mass for Homebound

The TV Mass for the Homebound will not be broadcast on KSNB-TV in Hastings and KNOP-TV in North Platte on July 21st, 28th, Aug 4th, 11th due to the stations’ contractual obligations to carry other network programming at that time on those dates. The TV Mass for the Homebound on KLKN-TV in Lincoln will be broadcast as usual at 9am on those dates. You can also watch the TV Mass for the Homebound each weekend on the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln YouTube channel on demand any time after 4pm Saturday.
