 Summer Garden Tour

St. Teresa Altar Society invites all women of the parish to a Summer Garden Tour on Sat, June 29th from 9:30am-Noon at St. Teresa Parish Rectory Garden. The tour will take us to highlighted gardens via the school bus. The tour ends at Rosie Polak’s home for brownies & homemade ice cream! Summer Boys Choir

This Summer Boys Choir Alumnus Seth Winter and Seminarian Peter Foley will be directing a Boys Choir for the young men of St. Teresa’s Parish and surrounding areas. The choir will meet on Fridays from 9-10am and is for young men ages 6-18 years old. We will practice for the first few weeks and then sing a few Sunday masses or sundry occasions later in the summer. Come learn to sing, learn to pray through song and enjoy a good time with good men and good brothers. Practices begin on June 7th but you are welcome to join late. Sign up forms are located on the shelf in the vestibule of the church. Bring it to your first practice.

Grand Group

Our June event is a visit to the Prairie Creek Inn Bed & Breakfast. We will meet in the church parking lot on Fri, June 21st at 12:30pm to carpool to the Inn. Since they need to know how many will be attending, please call Karen Hall, 402-499-6300, to RSVP by Wed, June 19th.

School Office Hours This Summer

St. Teresa School will be open on Wednesdays from 9am-Noon. This is a good time to stop in with paperwork, questions, or assistance. The school office will be closed on Wed, July 3rd in observance of the Fourth of July.

ProLife Talk on Ballot Initiative

All are invited to a special parish presentation by the Nebraska Catholic Conference on combating the pro-abortion ballot initiative. Learn why this initiative threatens women and babies in Nebraska and how we can defend life together. Invite friends and family to come with you on Sun, June 9th from 6-8:30pm in Kaczmarek Hall. The evening will with social time at 6:15pm followed by a panel discussion and Q & A. Mark your calendars and spread the word!

 

Eucharistic Adoration Opportunities

With busy vacation schedules and kids out of school, we have more open slots for adoration. Please consider signing up for an hour this summer! Students can earn service hours for taking an hour, too! Or, if you have a student who would be willing to be a sub, please reach out to Ron Zimmer and let him know. We need more subs during the summer.

Pink Sisters Vocation Holy Hour

All are welcome to join the Pink Sisters as they pray for vocations at their Vocation Holy Hour on Fri, June 7th at 7:15pm in the Pink Sisters’ Chapel. The Seminarians will lead the singing.

Weed-Pulling Volunteers

Our parish is in need of individuals to help pull weeds to keep our grounds looking beautiful. We have broken up the grounds into smaller sections to enable more people to participate. Totus Tuus Registration Now Open!

Totus Tuus for our Parish will be June 16-21. The High School Program will run the evenings of Sun, June 16– Thurs, June 20. The Elementary Program will run daytime Mon-Fri, June 17-21. We are in need of volunteers for: Supervision at Morning Break 10am and Lunch & Recess 12:10pm; Nut-Free Cookies each day; Sack Lunches for Totus Tuus Team; Sack Dinners for Team; Families to Host the Men & Women Team Members; Provide 1 large bag of ice to Kaczmarek Hall each day. Blessed Sacrament is seeking seeking a skilled Director of Music Ministry to coordinate music for all liturgical celebrations of the parish, serve as organist, pianist, and/or cantor, and direct both the Adult Choir and our parish Children’s Choir. The ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or in directing choral music and has a familiarity with Catholic music. This role is part-time and pay is commensurate with experience. The parish is located at 1720 Lake Street, Lincoln, 68502. Start date is June 9th or earlier with some training beforehand. St. Joseph School: is seeking a qualified and energetic Beyond the Bell Director for their after-school enrichment program, for the 2024-2025 school year. Responsibilities include daily supervision, planning, and implementation of enrichment activities for students from 3-5:30pm; hiring, supervision, and professional development of staff; and compliance with all HHS regulations. The director must be at least 19 years of age, of good moral character, and must meet one of the following requirements: associated or bachelor’s degree in either early childhood education, education of child/youth development or equivalent experience, and certification within these areas. Qualities needed include: love for and experience with supervision of children, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to further th emission of St. Joseph School. Join in the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage at the Cathedral

This summer’s National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, consisting of four routes, including an overnight stop at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ on June 20-21st. All are invited to join in this historic event with Adoration, Mass, & Procession.  Thurs, June 20, 7:30-9pm, come for our community adoration with Scripture, reflection, music, & confessions. Overnight adoration will be held in the main church with the traveling monstrance, and culminates with Mass at 8:30am with Bishop Conley, followed by a Eucharistic Procession to Blessed John XXIII Diocesan Center. We especially invite students who just made their First Communion to wear their dresses and suits to participate in the Eucharistic Procession on Friday morning.

STAGE: Something Super!

Something Super!, an original musical by STAGE will be performed by students ages 9-17. This production will be presented at The City Impact Building/Theater, 1035 N 33rd St, Lincoln. Something Super! is a retro show that brings to life superheros & super villains as they sabotage the city with an over-abundance of ordinary problems. With no superheros coming to the rescue, Mediocre Man & Guinea Pig Girl come to save the day. This fun & exciting musical will delight audiences as it delivers the message: Even the ordinary guy on the street can do super things with God’s awesome grace. Marian Mantle

Come join us and Mary, Our Sorrowful Mother, in praying for our prodigal children to return to the faith. We are the Marian Mantle Silent Strength Prayer Group. We bring our prodigals to Our Lady of Sorrow and ask Her to lead them home. We pray for Her mantle to cover them with Her protection and care while they are gone.
