Ascension

Thursday, May 18th, is the Ascension of our Lord. This is a holy day of obligation. Mass times are as follows:

  • Wednesday, May 17th: 5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 18th:
    • 6:30 a.m.
    • 8:15 a.m.
    • 6:30 p.m.

 

 Totus Tuus

Totus Tuus is scheduled for the week of June 11-16. Elementary school: Mon, June 12—Fri, June 16, 9am-3pm. High School: Sun, June 11—Thurs, June 15th, 6:30-8:30pm. This is a change from previous years. Dinners will be served to high school students attending Totus Tuus. For this reason it is important for you to register your high school students so we can prepare enough food. Register for Grades 1-8 and High School students (grades in 2023-2024 school year) at https://giving.parishsoft.com/App/Form/2ae02b7c-c861-40a5-8b76-06672fc590f7 or scan the QR code. If you tried to register online and was unable to do so, please try again. The bug in the online registration has been corrected.

Family Holy Hour

A Family Holy Hour will take place on Sun, June 11th from 4-5pm at St. Teresa Church. Bring the whole family for adoration, confessions, and some adoration activities available for children. This will be followed by cookies and refreshments.

Teaching Assistant (Para) Needed

St. Teresa School is seeking an individual to fill a part-time (about 20 hours/week) Teaching Assistant position, 9am-2 or 3pm for 2-3 days per week and an average of a day or two of subbing/week when school is in session. More details, email Sr. Mary-Michael@cdolinc.net.

St. Teresa Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten

Enrollment is open to all students turning 4 by July 31, 2023 for Pre-Kindergarten classes and students turning 5 by July 31, 2023 for Kindergarten. Available sessions for Pre-Kindergarten: Mon-Fri: 8-11am & 12:15-3:15pm. Tours available by appointment. St. Veronica Ministry: A Ministry for Those Who have Experienced Miscarriage

If you are experiencing or have experienced a miscarriage, we want to offer you our support, prayers, and love as a parish family. Corpus Christi Procession

Save the date for the Corpus Christi Procession, Sun, June 11th following the 8AM Mass. This is a special neighborhood procession to honor this Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. All are invited to join us in this annual parish tradition where we process from St. Teresa Church to the Pink Sisters’ Chapel. First Communicants and newly Confirmed are invited to wear their sacramental attire. All Junior High & High School young ladies of the parish are invited to process in the Honor Guard. Prodigal Prayer Intention Sheets

More intention sheets are available if you want to write intentions for fallen-away family members or friends. Place your intention in the box in the vestibule of the church. Sheets are available at the exits of the church.

Swing Dance Nights

Swing Dance Nights, instructed by Jeff & Hannah Rutledge, will be held in the school gym from 7-8:30pm Admission is free!

Men’s Basketball

Altar Society Prayer Line

An Altar Society Prayer Line has been established to lift up our prayers to God as a parish community. Leva Orationes Deo is Latin for lift up prayers to God.  Requests can be made by e-mailing  levaorationesdeo@yahoo.com or by calling (the first caller on the list) Mary Pat McBride at 402-314-1296. Diocese of Lincoln Ordinations

Priestly Ordination: Bishop James Conley will ordain 3 new priests for the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln on Sat, May 27th: Deacons Scott Nemec, Louden Redinger, & Matthew Schilmoeller. The ordination Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ at 11am. A livestream of the ordination Mass will be available on the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln YouTube channel.

Deaconate Ordination: The bishop will also ordain 5 new deacons at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ at 7pm on Fri, May 26th: Jonah Brox, Santiage Izquierdo, Augustine Reimers, Mitchell Schleiss, and Ranil Weerackoon.

Holy Hour: A holy hour for the ordinandi will take place at the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center in Lincoln at 7pm on Thurs, May 25th.

 Mass for Homebound

The Catholic Diocese of Lincoln Mass for the Homebound on Sun, May 28th will air at 11:30am on KLKN-TV in Lincoln instead of its usual time at 9am due to a network programming conflict. The Mass for the Homebound will air at its normal time at 9:30am on KSNB-TV in Hasting that day.

Learn how to be the hands & feet of Christ, offering loving, life-affirming alternatives to all present at Planned Parenthood of Lincoln, thereby eliminating the demand and ending abortion in Lincoln.
