October 2, 2021: Weekend Report

Dear Saint Teresa Parishioners,

We are all encouraged to attend Sunday’s Parish Picnic. Location is a little different this year: we’ll be on the school playground/parking lot (though we plan to return to our “block party” style in coming years). Men’s Club will provide hot dogs and hamburgers. Bring table settings for your family and a dessert or salad to share. Children are encouraged to dress as saints for the Saints Parade at 5pm. We’ll wind down and introduce new parishioners at 6pm. This is a great way to get to know one another and flex our “social muscles” after over a year of social distancing.

We have three funerals this week: many thanks to all of the people who help with the luncheons, those who volunteer to Lector and Serve, those who provide music, and everyone who steps up to honor our beloved deceased members. It takes a lot of people saying “yes” to make funerals a smooth, peaceful experience for our families. Ladies: please pay attention; see whether your help might still be needed with luncheons (your Altar Society Circle Leader would have contacted you).

Lastly: GO HUSKERS!  😉

May God bless you richly and keep you healthy.
